Using Twitter in lectures

I've been thinking a lot lately about how to integrate social media into my teaching practice. I've written a little set of tips based on what I have learnt so far from using Twitter in my Mobile Cultures class this semester.

My students seem to genuinely enjoy live-tweeting video presentations embedded in the lecture. I wonder what kinds of other activities we can explore to keep them awake!

  1. Mix up your official-related tweets about specials, discounts, and news updates with some fun and quirky tweets interspersed. Be sure to retweet when a customer has something nice to say about you, and don’t forget answer people’s questions when possible.

  2. We Need Twitter Followers In Social Media And Personal Life
Social media can’t be complete without Twitter. This is because twitter is a strong tool with very many users. According to the twitter company, the number of twitter users is set to reach over a billion people by the next one year. Due to this, it would be absurd for any serious social media marketer to not have a twitter account. Twitter is not only important for the social media marketers, but it’s also important in personal life. When you have a twitter account, you can communicate with your friends who are continents away. Twitter also allows you to be updated with the current happenings.
